Forty-two years and counting. In 1989, he moved to Macao, where in the process of growing up in China he first discovered photography.
At eighteen, he enrolled in the university of fine arts in Portugal, earning a Communication Design degree by day and taking a photography course in IADE by night. It was a return to the country where he was born in 1978.
Once the academics were over, photography was all that mattered, 24/7. Throughout the last decade or so, Tiago specialized in photojournalism, working as a staff photographer at Expresso Newspaper in portrait and food photography.
Although he has traveled all over the world, published internationally, and received awards, what really makes him tick is photography – what one can imagine in the mind and capture with the eye.
